ML Muster: House Captains, X Time, English Tutoring
Dear Middle Loop Learners & Families,
This edition of the ML MUSTER will highlight key moments from the House Captain speeches, where student leaders will share their visions and goals. We’ll also provide links to our Parent Coffee for English tutoring as part of our extracurricular activities (ECA) offering. Additionally, there will be more details about our X Time program that offers workshops at the end of every Friday that connects wellness with our school’s core mindsets, providing students with an opportunity to reflect, recharge, and reset before the weekend.
We hope to see you at the 7-8 ShowTime on Tuesday. More information is at the bottom of the Muster.
Hope you enjoy reading the Muster and see you around campus!
House Captains | Learner Leadership
We are incredibly proud of our learners who bravely pitched to be voted as House Captains. It takes great courage to stand in front of your peers and present your ideas, and this experience served as a natural public speaking opportunity to build confidence and demonstrate leadership. Not everyone can become a House Captain—it’s a lot like interviewing for a job in the real world. We all know we don’t get every job we apply for; I don’t know anyone who can claim they have. Of course, it’s disappointing when we don’t achieve something we’re passionate about, but these moments are vital learning experiences. They help us find ways to improve, grow, and build the resilience and character necessary for future success. What we always achieve is learning and growing confidence, and the only way to develop that is by going for opportunities like this. Every pitch was excellent, showing school spirit and a shared determination to strengthen our community. Keep striving!
Remember to order and pay for the House T-shirts so the learners can wear them during VERSOlympics on 9 October.

U19 Basketball | Kacy and Note
Guess what? The U19 VERSO Boys’ Basketball Team just won against Saint Andrews S107 team on 24 September! They impressed the crowd with their amazing 3-pointers, perfect passes, and smart plays. The atmosphere was exciting, with people on the edge of their seats the whole time. Additionally, our talented students performed great cheerleading and dances during halftime. Also, our other VERSO Sports teams (golf, basketball, soccer) displayed their amazing skills and sportsmanship during Spirit Week. Great job to all the teams! VERSO Vipers, you've made us proud!

X Time | Wellness and Mindset
X Time takes place every Friday for one hour, following a four-week workshop cycle. During each cycle, learners have the opportunity to choose the workshop they want to participate in, based on their interests. Each Learning Designer (LD) offers a workshop that focuses on one of our core Wellness areas, with a specific mindset selected as a developmental lens. This approach not only promotes well-being but also encourages social interaction and fosters a greater awareness of the importance of being active and healthy. Through X Time, we aim to create a balanced environment where students can recharge, connect, and grow holistically
