Welcome to the Lower Loop Latest!
Dear Lower Loop Families,
Thank you for attending our ConVERSOs this past Tuesday. The Learning Designers truly appreciate the opportunity to connect with you and learn more about your child. Your insights and stories about your child's life beyond school have deepened our understanding, helping us to support and encourage them even more effectively. We are grateful for your time and openness in sharing these important aspects of your child's world with us.
Even though these ConVERSOs were a scheduled school event, we want to remind you that you are welcome to contact your child's Learning Designer and request a ConVERSO at any time throughout the school year. We're here to support your child's growth and are always open to continuing these valuable conversations.

EY5 The Pythons and Cobras Visit the Snake Farm
On 30 August, our EY5 learners, who are proudly named the 'Snakes' for this academic year, visited the Snake Farm at the Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute. Since discovering their group name, they have been captivated by these creatures, eagerly reading books, drawing pictures, and engaging in snake-themed role play.
As they continue to build their community, this first Beyond the Walls (BTW) experience provided an exciting opportunity to deepen their knowledge about snakes and further strengthen their bonds with one another. The EY5 class is divided into two groups: Cobras and Pythons. This visit aimed to enhance their understanding of the life cycle and traits of snakes, fueling their curiosity and enthusiasm for the subject.
EY4-5 BTW (Inside the Walls) Looking After our Babies
Emma McNerlin, a UK-trained and registered midwife and owner of the family café Bumpsy Daisy, and Rasee Govindani, a certified birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator, came and ran workshops with our EY4-5 learners on how to look after a baby. They also worked with the learners to set up a baby role-play area. This project is closely linked to some of the learning goals they have this quarter, focusing on responsibility. We look forward to seeing how the learners continue to look after their class babies now that the experts have gone.
Dive In: Keep Hair Dry with a Waterproof Swim Cap!
To help keep swim sessions enjoyable and efficient, we kindly ask that parents send a waterproof swimming cap to school with their child, especially for those with long hair. Wearing a cap not only helps keep hair dry but also reduces tangling and keeps the pool clean. It’s a simple way to ensure that your child can focus on swimming and having fun!
A reminder to parents that swimming classes are part of your child's regular timetabled week at VERSO. If your child is unable to swim, we ask that you submit a medical certificate to the school nurse nurse@verso.ac.th.The nurse will then inform your child’s Learning Designer of the period your child should be out of the pool during these classes; otherwise your child is required to take part in all swimming classes.
Can You Help Us Re-home Some Beloved Friends or Family Boardgames?
Do you have any clean, beloved soft toys at home that might be looking for a new adventure? Our EY students would love to welcome them as reading buddies in the library!
Also, if you have any family board games that no longer get much playtime, we’d be thrilled to give them a new home here at VERSO, where they can be enjoyed by our learners.
You can pass any items to Cushla, Nick, or Sapphira in the Lower Loop lobby during morning drop-off.
Thank you for considering sharing a bit of your family fun with us! 🌟
Thanks for reading,
The Lower Loop Team
