WELL-BEING

WELL-BEING POSITIVELY INFLUENCES STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME

Well-being is a lifestyle that we are constantly striving to achieve to develop everyone's physical, intellectual, emotional, mental, and social health

Studies show there is a positive association between personal well-being and a student’s learning. At VERSO, our aim is for all students to find an activity that they enjoy to promote mental and physical wellness in their lives.

WELL-BEING

We have invested a lot of time and energy into developing our well-being program to promote physical movement and for students to take those necessary breaks to clear the mind, recharge, and jump back in their learning. We provide our learners with the tools they need to follow their own well-being journey that will hopefully lead them to an active, healthy, and happy lifestyle.

The well-being program is built into our learner’s schedule and our well-being learning designer facilitates and supports the set-up of spaces to invite movement and mindfulness to energize their  body and mind.

We focus on both learning about and learning through physical activities and support all learners through their own individual process of understanding who they are and how they would like to approach their own personal wellness.

SPORTS PROGRAMS

VERSO is a member of GBAC (Greater Bangkok Athletics Conference), which allows our students to participate in inter-school sports activities and tournaments such as swimming, basketball, football, badminton, golf, table tennis, volleyball and more.

Our tennis program is run by Tamarine Tennis Academy, founded by Thailand's most successful professional tennis player Tamarine Tanasugarn.

VERSO international school Bangkok has teamed up with Pattana Sports Resort to create the first sports science-based swimming and performance center in Thailand. This will be led under the watchful eye of Pattana Sports Resort's Sports Director and Head Coach, Craig Wood, who has represented Great Britain in World and European Triathlon Championships. Craig holds an MSc in Sports Science and Performance Coaching, as well as UKCC Level 2 and HND Sport Nutrition qualifications from ISPA and the College of Stirling respectively.

Our soccer program is run by Can U Kick It Soccer Academy, formed in 1998 by Darren Jackson, an ex-England international football player who had played for Reading FC, Oxford United and England U21's. They will also be offering the CUKI Tots program for our younger kids.

Some of our other sports partnerships include For The Love Basketball Academy, Singha Elite Golf Performance Center, Bangkok Volleyball Academy, Patchara Badminton, and more.

VERSO VIPER

Our new mascot pays homage to the green pit viper, a species native to Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia. In many cultures, snakes are symbols of wisdom, and their shedding is seen as transformation, rebirth, and renewal. Similarly, VERSO is on a mission to transform the future of education to become more adaptive, innovative, and responsive to change.

Just as snakes help maintain a healthy ecosystem and environment, VERSO is continually finding ways to foster an evolving and innovative learning environment.

The viper is a symbol of strength, agility, courage, and determination. The role of our mascot will continue to grow and evolve, but as of now, it will be featured on our sportswear, guarding and protecting our athletes!
