C5-6 How can we learn about history and how people communicate through art?

The C5-6 ShowTime, curated and organized by our enthusiastic learners, offered a captivating exploration of communication through art across various historical periods. This showcase unveiled the artistic expressions that played a pivotal role in shaping human connections throughout history. The young curators meticulously researched and curated a diverse array of artworks, ranging from cave paintings, Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, stained glass design, and the final legacy project —a learner-led mural on the exterior wall of the Middle Loop art room. Each exhibit featured a learner “expert” to explain and answer questions.

With thoughtful displays, interactive elements, and creative interpretations, this ShowTime not only celebrated the rich tapestry of human communication but also inspired learners and visitors to develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the role of art in shaping our shared history.
