The recent Upper Loop Winter ShowTime showcased the Semester 1 projects of G 9-12 learners. In the Research Lab, they analyzed and presented campaigns for human rights movements to mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), and explored the causes of historical genocides, creating commemorative monuments for genocide prevention to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
The Push the Limits Learning Lab highlighted physical and mental challenges the learners faced weekly, including obstacle course training, climbing, dancing, and taekwondo.
The Class of 2024 presented their journey on their Vertex projects, a year-long exploration showcasing essential skills like research, critical thinking, and project management. The project is due to be completed next year, preparing them for higher education and future employment.
Other exhibits included mini-labs on bridge and mask making, the F.E.A.R. Learning Lab featuring animated robotics, the Fab Lab with unique fabric designs, the Feed the Future Lab focusing on high-tech indoor farming, and an Art Wall displaying impressive drawings and 3D modeling.
A diverse array of projects made this exhibition a testament to the learners' creativity and achievement in Semester 1. Bravo to all UL learners!
