HoS Highlights: New After-School Spaces for Learners to Play and Connect

HoS Highlights: New After-School Spaces for Learners to Play and Connect

By Ryan Persaud / September 08, 2023 / Head of School Highlights

This week I would like to focus on an important topic, and that is to share how we will be providing additional spaces for your children to interact and play after school. Our goal is to foster a community atmosphere on our campus in a safe and organized manner. Now that sports and after-school activities have started, we have identified additional areas where children can play with each other, and parents can connect and socialize.

pH7 will continue to be available to students from 2:45pm - 4:00pm. A staff member will be there during this time. We encourage students to play board games and be off devices if they are in this space.

We kindly remind parents that Learning Designers are in meetings or planning from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, and leave campus at 4:00pm.

For parents who choose to remain on campus and use one of the above spaces, it is important to remember that responsibility for your child is transferred to you, once you are with them.

For learners who must wait for a sibling to finish a club, they can wait outside @Hello office, which will be staffed until 5:30pm, when the campus closes. Learners who have not been picked up after 5:30pm will need to wait outside @Hello office, where a security guard will stay until 7:00pm.

Please mark your calendars for 27 September, as we'll be hosting a Head of School Coffee Morning, where I will be sharing my Vision for VERSO. I'm eager to have the opportunity to meet many of you then.

Additionally, we are excited to announce that we will be offering first aid training for parents. More information on this is coming soon.

Best regards,
