HoS Highlights: Outstanding Community in Action!

HoS Highlights: Outstanding Community in Action!

By Ryan Persaud / October 06, 2023 / Head of School Highlights

Dear VERSO Community,

It has been a very exciting two weeks since I shared the last HoS Highlights with you. We had our very first homecoming game and spirit week. With VERSO winning both games it was the icing on the cake of a very special day.

Thank you to our community for coming out in such big numbers to support our athletes, performers, and MCs. This was followed by the Head of School Coffee morning in which I took the opportunity to share my Vision for VERSO. Again, thank you to the parents for attending in such large numbers, being so engaged, and asking thought provoking questions. For those of you who missed it, you can find the slides here.

This was mentioned in the Vipers Valor newsletter this week, but I would like to welcome Coach Noon! She is very excited to be part of the VERSO family, so please take a moment to introduce yourself and extend a warm welcome if you see her. We look forward to seeing her around campus, and of course in the pool.Meet Our Swim Coach - Noon (1)

This week VERSO was featured in several media publications. Including Hello Magazine, Krungthep Turakij (Bangkokbiz) newspaper and Krungthep Turakij online video feature. It was an absolute pleasure to share the VERSO story with so many others, and help to spread the word about our innovative programs. If you have the opportunity please watch the video and share with others!

Yesterday we had our first Open House of this new school year. It was extremely well attended and a great success. I would like to thank the marketing and admissions team for putting on such an organized event to publicize the school and to some of our parents for greeting and welcoming the families. I would also like to thank the Learning Designers and Learning Assistants who shared their VERSO experiences with potential families. Lastly, a big thank you to the Upper Loop learners Nicky and Solo involved in helping with tours and to the Lower Loop learners who prepared activities for those children on tour.

This is just a reminder about our upcoming school holiday from October 12-23, 2023. I hope that you have a chance to recharge your batteries and spend time with your loved ones and friends. During 23-24 October, we will be hosting International School Services who will be hosting a job fair for international teachers here at VERSO. We look forward to a successful event with them.

Lastly, we are considering running our very own VERSO Summer Programs in June-July 2024. We would appreciate parent feedback on this concept so, please take a moment to complete this quick survey to share your thoughts about a potential summer program.

Best regards,

Ryan Persaud
