Curious About Your Child's 360 Report?
Q1 VERSO 360s : A Snapshot of Learning and Progress
VERSO 360s for Q1 will be hitting your VERSO email inbox today! Please take time to review this with your child. Read the evaluations from their Learning Designers together and ask questions about your child's learning.
The 'How to Guide' will outline all the key information you need to know about how we assess and evaluate learning. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's Community Time Learning Designer.
Last week, we had the ML Focus Week. This was an opportunity for Learning Designers to conference with each student in a one-on-one setting to conduct a numeracy and reading assessment to capture progress over time. We will also run these same base-line assessments in May to show learning growth.
We will keep this Muster brief as there is plenty to share through your child's VERSO 360 for Q1.
Through the Window I Focus Week
Learners are playing a game that incorporates cricket and baseball. Here is InIn in action and we also added some tug-of-war photos for good fun too!
Reading Program I C5-6
Starting next week in C5-6, we are beginning a formal ‘Reading at Home’ program in addition to the reading we do here in Learning Lab and Literacy Labs. Learners will need to read 20 minutes minimum each afternoon or night at home and complete 1 ‘Reading Response’. Each 5-6 learner will have a folder with books and one reading response to choose from.
LEARNERS WILL COMPLETE ONE READING RESPONSE PER WEEK WHICH IS DUE BACK TO SCHOOL EACH MONDAY.
For parents who would like to borrow books or see what’s on offer for their children, you can go to CoCo and follow these steps below to view our catalog. Learners may borrow 3 books at a time and parents may borrow 2. Parents can ask their child or Mr JC to check out the book for them.

There is a group of dedicated and passionate learners who meet during their lunchtime and come together to organize new initiatives and projects to enrich our school community. When we talk about learner leadership and being the change we want to see in the world, this is exactly what we mean. The future is bright when a group of learners come together to plan, drive and impact our community. Click on the link below to find out more about the things this incredible group of learners are planning to focus on.
