Dear VERSO Community,

On 27 March, the Bang Chalong Fire Department was present at VERSO to evaluate our fire evacuation procedures. Previously, we have had two fire drills this school year, and felt adequately prepared to run another drill with the fire department present. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate our procedures and to time how long it takes to exit the buildings. I am pleased to report that we passed our evaluation. Thanks to everyone involved.

Bangkok Education Fair

This past weekend our team attended the Bangkok Education Fair at the Intercontinental Hotel. There were many families in attendance and this was an excellent opportunity to speak about VERSO and market the school. We were able to make many new connections and have many future visits set with potential new families. A big thank you to our learners Solo, Pu, Moe Moe, Nicky, Nadol, Namin, and Mona for their help at the event. They were excellent representatives for VERSO and the families certainly enjoyed hearing about their firsthand experience.

Informative Coffee Mornings

Thank you to all of the parents who attended our recent Coffee Morning sessions. Digital Citizenship, Generative AI, and Data Protection was a big hit by Dr. Rolly Maiquez, and Careers in 2030, presented by Greg Mason, was extremely informative. If you missed them, you can find the slides on CoCo. Please continue to attend future sessions after the Songkran break.

ShowTimes: Celebrating Learning

We have had several ShowTimes recently as well. Thank you to the parents for supporting our learners, and showing appreciation for their hard work. Specifically EY4-5: People and Nature, C1-2: How Can Music, Dance, Stories, and Wellbeing Help us Understand and Respond to Each Other’s Feelings with Kindness?, C3-4: How Can I Have a Positive Impact On My Own and Others’ Health?, and C7-8: How Can Humanity Harness Technology and Innovations to Adapt and Thrive in Extreme Environments?

VERSO IGNITE: VENTURE CENTER EXPERENCE DAY

This is a reminder about our VERSO Ignite event taking place on Saturday 27 April.

The expected outcome of The VERSO Venture Center Experience Day is to inspire and empower learners to become more entrepreneurial, equipping them with practical skills and knowledge that can be applied in real-world scenarios.

Additionally, the event aims to educate parents about the importance of entrepreneurship in today's world and how they can support their children in developing these skills. That's all from me this week before we break for our Songkran holidays. This will be mine and my family's first celebration in Thailand, and we are looking forward to the festivities. Have a wonderful break, and see you all back on campus on Wednesday, 17 April.
