We hope this newsletter finds you well and ready to embrace the festive spirit! We are delighted to announce the upcoming Winter Fest on 8 December, and we can't wait to share the joy and excitement of the season with all of our wonderful families.

This year's Winter Fest promises to be a magical celebration filled with fun activities, festive excitement, and plenty of holiday cheer. Our learners have been eagerly preparing to showcase their talents, and we are looking forward to a memorable event for everyone.

We have an important update regarding the Winter Fest logistics, especially for our Lower Loop learners. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, this year, all Lower Loop learners will need to be accompanied by an adult during the Winter Fest.

Here's what you need to know:

1. Dismissal Time and Lunch: The Winter Fest will take place in the arena at 1:00 PM. Learners will be released after lunch at 12:30 PM. Learning Designers will accompany Lower Loop learners to the Lower Loop Foyer for dismissal.

2. Pick-Up Procedure: Upon arrival at the Lower Loop Foyer, learners will be dismissed over to parents or an adult registered by parents to pick up their child from school.

3. Entry to Winter Fest: Lower Loop learners will only be allowed entry to Winter Fest when accompanied by an adult. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines. Your active participation in Winter Fest is not only an opportunity to celebrate the season but also a chance to create lasting memories with your child.

Wheels Day in the Early Years

A heartfelt thank you to all our fantastic parents for making "Wheels Day" a roaring success for our Early Years learners today! It was an absolute delight to witness the excitement as students rolled in with their bikes, scooters, and rollerblades. I was genuinely impressed by the responsible approach our youngest learners took, prioritizing safety by ensuring they wore the right gear before hitting the pavement. The dedication to safety didn't stop there – we even had a bike washing station, where our learners took pride in making sure their wheels were not only ready for action but also shiny and clean. Your support in fostering a fun and secure environment for our Early Years learners is truly appreciated. Thank you for helping make Wheels Day a memorable and joyous experience for everyone!

Why did the bicycle go to Wheels Day?

Because it wanted to show off its "wheel-y" good moves and roll with the fun! 🚲🎉😄

Semester 1 After School Activities (ASAs) Wrapping Up

As our first round of After school activities (ASAs) nears its conclusion on Thursday, 7 December, we want to express our gratitude for the enthusiasm and participation your child has shown. These activities have been a fantastic opportunity for them to explore new interests and develop skills beyond the regular curriculum.

We would like to inform you that during the week following December 12-15, we kindly request parents to collect learners from our Lower Loop turnstile between 2:45 PM - 3:00 PM.

Your promptness in picking up your child during this time frame is greatly appreciated, as it allows our Learning Designers to attend scheduled planning meetings from 3:00 PM onwards. Your support in ensuring a smooth transition between activities and meetings is invaluable. Many of you have enquired about the next round of Afterschool Activities which can be found here and in Mr. G's Vipers Valor newsletter sent out today.  Please note the important dates below:

13 December: Sign-Up Deadline. All payments must be made during registration.
9-12 January: New learner sign ups. This is available to newly enrolled learners ONLY.

15 January: ASA Semester 2 Begins

15-19 January: Trial week for EY-C3/4 learners ONLY. Any changes that need to be made must be done by the end of the day on Monday 22 January.

Under 9 3v3 Basketball @St. Andrews 107

A troupe of dedicated VERSO learners traveled to St Andrews S107 on Monday to take part in the Under 9s 3-on-3 half court basketball tournament. We had a deep bench with 9 players in total, so everyone kept their energy levels cranking right until the final game!
With a range of experience and skill levels in our team, it was a great opportunity for our little players to learn cooperative skills and strategies in a fun environment. I can’t wait to see some of our junior players bring their experience at this year’s tournament to bear next year. For our grade 3 students who are ‘aging out’, hopefully, we will see you in the U11 teams next year! Thanks for your leadership and contributions.

EY2-3 Thanksgiving Picnic

We are overflowing with gratitude for the heartwarming Thanksgiving celebration that took place last week on Thursday in our wetland area. Our EY2-3 learners embarked on a delightful adventure, and the joy was multiplied when EY4-5 joined them shortly after. The shared moments of laughter, exploration, and togetherness created a truly special atmosphere.

A special thank you goes out to all the parents who generously contributed delicious food for the picnic. Your culinary creations added a flavorful touch to the festivities and made the day even more memorable.
