πŸ“š Introducing the VERSO Study Club for Learners in C3-4!πŸ“š

We are excited to announce the launch of the new VERSO Study Club, designed to provide a structured and supportive environment for learners in grades 3 to 8 to complete their homework and study effectively. Here's what you need to know about the Study Club:

πŸ•’ Timing: The Study Club takes place daily in Connect, Level 2, The HUB from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.

πŸ“ Check-In: Learners should arrive between 2:45pm-3:00pm and check in with the Learning Assistant waiting at the HUB. There will be a clipboard for sign up outside @hello and names must be on the clipboard by 3:00pm to participate. This is an important part of the procedure, so the supervisor is aware of who is attending and is responsible for knowing where they are on campus.

πŸŽ’ Preparation: Learners should bring all necessary items with them to the Study Club, as there is no opportunity to return to the Loops for forgotten items.

πŸ“š Project and Other Tasks: Learners are responsible for bringing sufficient projects and tasks to work on during the Study Club.

πŸ“± Device Usage: Devices may be used for school assignments or educational programs only, at the discretion of the supervising Learning Assistant.

🀝 Collaboration: Learners working with a partner or in a group are expected to converse quietly to avoid disturbing others.

⏰ Duration: Learners will remain in Connect from 3:00 pm to 4:00pm unless alternative arrangements have been communicated by an adult with the supervisor. Pick up will be from outside HELLO at 4;00pm

🧹 Clean-Up: Learners are responsible for leaving the room neat and orderly.

🚸 Dismissal: Lower Loop Learners will be escorted to The HUB at the front entrance by the Learning Assistant at the end of Study Club.

For C3-4 learners wishing to attend Study Club, parent permission is required. Please email nick.garvin@verso.ac.th in advance with details for your child and which day/s they have your permission to attend. If your child wishes to attend Study Club and we have not received any prior email, please email Nick no later than 2:30pm on that given day to let him know. Let's make the most of this opportunity for focused study and personal project time!

We encourage all learners in C3-4  to take advantage of this valuable opportunity for focused study or self-sustained project time.

Thai Culture in Quarter 4 - The Taste of Summer

Our learners will be exploring the vibrant cultural landscape of Thailand, with a special focus on its delectable culinary traditions. They'll be diving into the refreshing world of Thai desserts, exploring their flavors and textures. Throughout Quarter 4, Lower Loop learners will embark on an exciting journey to discover the essence of Thai cuisine, all under the captivating theme of "The Taste of Summer".

Swimming in the Lower Loop - Your Support is Required.

We'd like to remind all parents that swimming is a mandatory part of our curriculum at VERSO in the Lower Loop. As such, it's crucial that your child comes prepared for their swimming lessons.

We've received inquiries from some parents about providing alternative activities for non-swimmers. However, it's important to understand that each child has been carefully placed into a swimming group based on their current water ability. Therefore, participation in swimming is essential for their continued progress and safety.

Please ensure that your child arrives at school with the necessary swimming attire on the designated swimming days. If your child is unable to swim due to a medical reason, please communicate this directly with your child's LD.

Thank you for your cooperation in supporting your child's participation in our swimming program.
