Walking through the Lower Loop, one couldn't help but be touched by the heartening sight of our seasoned learners wholeheartedly guiding and nurturing our incoming students, imparting not only academic knowledge but also instilling a deep understanding of the VERSO way. The promise of this collaborative spirit and a tight-knit community assures us that this year will truly be a rewarding experience for all involved.

Drop-off Procedures and Enhanced Security Measures

On a personal note, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your understanding and seamless adjustment to our updated drop-off and pick-up times. Your punctuality and cooperation in observing the 8:00am closure of the Lower Loop entry gate resonates deeply with our dedicated Learning Designers. This collective effort significantly bolsters security, an aspect particularly crucial for our youngest learners. For those of you who find it convenient to arrive a bit earlier, between 7:15am and 7:45am, I extend to you a warm welcome to our foyer area. This inviting space provides a chance to connect, converse, and offer valuable support to your child, including the option of sharing breakfast in this communal setting if desired.

Prioritizing Safety - Reaching New Heights

Thanks to the joint contributions of our devoted staff and vigilant parents, we have successfully implemented crucial safety enhancements to our Rainforest playground. Your watchfulness and engaged participation have been instrumental in bringing about these improvements. With this collaborative effort, our learners can now confidently explore the playhouse, climb to new heights, and fully enjoy the slide.

I'm pleased to introduce Emma Weston, who has assumed the new position of C1-4 Cohort Leader, while also taking on teaching responsibilities for EY2-3 on Days A-C. Emma brings with her a wealth of experience, having been a valuable member of the VERSO community for the past three years, during which she taught in C1-2.

The teams across C1-4 have been looking at classroom systems and linked these to our VERSO Mindsets. How can we contribute to classroom discussions in a respectful manner? How can we transition into our new learning spaces with some new peers in our groups? What does inspiring others look like in our different daily components? These questions will also be discussed within a Learning Lab, Explore or Workshop.
