Nurturing Natural Connections
In a recent article published in Bangkok Mothers & Babies International (BAMBI), Nicholas (Nick) Garvin our Early Years Cohort Leader and father to a 2-year old daughter, explains the importance of having meaningful connections with nature and how it leads to a healthy urban life for our children.
While many parks are closed in Bangkok due to COVID-19, families can still connect with nature. Start with your own backyard or front yard with your garden. You can also let kids observe plants, trees, birds and insects from balconies in your apartment buildings or from walks around your neighborhood, if you are permitted to walk outdoors (remember to wear masks). You can even tell stories. How are you and your family connecting with nature without leaving home?
