Congratulations to Our Fantastic Swimmers!

By Kittima (Tinny) Kaur / June 22, 2022 / Sports

Over 260 swimmers from 8 international schools and swim clubs in Bangkok participated in our first VERSO SWIM MEET 2022 held on 11, June 2022 in our majestic 50-m swimming pool. Among them were Brighton College, BEST Bangkok Swim Academy, DBS, King's College, Pattana Sports Academy, SISB, Wellington, and VERSO. It was a challenging, tough, but rewarding day for all the swimmers who were back in the pool after a two-year break and did their best, with many achieving a new personal best. The competition included five different swims over 50 and 100 meters, including butterfly, freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and kick.

At VERSO, swimming is more than just a sport - it's an important life skill, and that's why the school has invested in building two world-class swimming pools, including a 25-meter Junior Pool and a 50-meter Pool to support its swimming program and external swimming events.

We were also honored to have Khun Thanavit Thosakul, former Secretary General of the Thai Swimming Association (TSA) and former swimming coach of the Thai National Team, present at the event, along with swimmers of the Thai national team who won several medals at the recent SEA Games in Vietnam in May 2022. these included Jenjira-Srisaard (Joy) who won two gold medals, Navaphat Wongcharoen (Wine) who won one silver and three bronze medals,  Kamonchanok Kwanmuang (Nuey) who won one gold, three silver, and one bronze medal, as well as rising star swimmer Ratthawit Thammananthachote.

They later signed autographs for the participants, took photos, engaged in fun quiz with the participants, and handed out medals to our young swimmers.
